Related: Ned Collette, Wirewalker.
He’s worked with Elvis Costello, Lou Reed, Tom Waits and Lubricated Goat – and now Joel Hamilton will lend his considerable production talents to the new record by Ned Collette and Wirewalker.
Collette and drummer Joe Talia will fly to New York next week to mix the as-yet-untitled album with Hamilton, who worked on Sparklehorse’s It’s A Wonderful Life. The band cut the album in two sessions last year: one at Headgap in Melbourne with Neil Thomason and another last month in country Victoria. Despite its lengthy recording process, Collette described the album as a "simpler" effort to its predecessors Future Suture and Jokes & Trials.
“The band being formed and present throughout the whole process added dimensions I couldn't have come up with on my own - it's kinda no bullshit, or less bullshit anyway," he said.
After returning from New York, Collette and Wirewalker will perform at Mistletone's Castle Tones festival in Melbourne on June 27, support Augie March in Geelong on July 2 and play their first Sydney show for the year at the Factory in Sydney on July 17.

I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a new Collette album.

was just about to post that very image.
Pretty excited about this.
I had no idea poprocks96 was even recording!
YAY!
The only thing about the recording process I liked was when I was told Talia can control Protools from his drum stool via his I-Phone.
