Sydney’s Catcall (aka Catherine Kelleher) will debut her new live show when she supports French outfit Phoenix in August. She will perform with the indie-pop quartet in Melbourne at the Palace on August 3 and at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on August 5.
Speaking to M+N today, Catcall said she’s in the process of putting together a new band featuring live drums, keys and two professional dancers. “[The Phoenix supports] are kind of launching the new catcall live show – newer sound, less hip-hopy vibe, more lushy dance pop,” she said.
The video for Cat’s new jam ‘Bad Move Baby’ is currently doing the rounds. Directed by rising star Courtney D, it sees the ex-Kiosk singer prowling around the streets of Melbourne rapping about a boy who’s done her wrong.

Is Andrew Levins still her DJ?

Yeah. She's managed by Cuban heel boot-wearers Winterman and Goldstein now, which is pretty weird.
I thought they focused purely on trad-guitar rock (Youth Group, The Vines, Neon, etc). So they're branching out into electro, because that's what the kids are JJJ listening to..
They're managing Empire of the Sun too, or at least the short, peroxide-haired half...
these would be useful, but will surely be announced with plenty of time to scrape together the (presumably) $80.
Which song? Last year's EP was one of my favourite Australian releases for 2008. Dug it out the other day and it still blew me away!
