Acca Dacca, Wolfmother Team Up

If Slash dropping into a studio session wasn’t enough to convince you that Andrew Stockdale and his Wolfmother cohorts are living the surreal life, how about the prospect of a national tour with Acca Dacca?

The bombastic Sydney four-piece will team up with Australia’s greatest rock exports for five arena dates as part of the latter’s Black Ice world tour. It will be the first time since 2001 that AC/DC have toured Australia. According to a report in the Herald Sun, Isabelle Scott, mother of the band's late singer Bon Scott, is expected to attend the band’s concert in Perth.

Tickets will range from $99 to $149.90 with the band “deliberately attempting to keep prices as low as possible”. Ah ha. Tickets go on sale on May 25.

‘BLACK ICE’ TOUR

Thursday, February 11

Thursday, February 18
ANZ Stadium, Sydney, NSW

Thursday, February 25
Nathan Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, Brisbane, QLD

Tuesday, March 2

you pay for 48 semi trailers and see how much you have to charge for tickets!

Mo  said about 2 years ago:

what's with the ''ha ha'' seeing a band like this in a venue like this with the production they need - seems to make a whole lot of sense that this costs what it does - i think that's a fair bloody price

and can't wait for this show

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

mo, reckon we can get drunk and take friday off?

Chief Bromden  said about 2 years ago:

fuck i wish wolfmother would just die

i think it's our duty as proud Australians

Scientificsupercake  said about 2 years ago:

hmm i'm kinda suprised dallas crane arent supporting or The Answer.. same label..and the answer have been supporting them on the rest of the tour...

Super exciting though!

josejones  said about 2 years ago:

what's with the ''ha ha''

it's ''ah ha'', not ''ha ha''.

mrmagoo  said about 2 years ago:

i think that is a very reasonable price for acca dacca

considering what other bands of their size (yep not many about) would charge

Mo  said about 2 years ago:

yeah i am bummed the answer aren't playing they were great @ the annandale back when...

versionsporadic  said about 2 years ago:

I saw them in London last month and they were very, very good

Scientificsupercake  said about 2 years ago:

i'm bummed i've never seen the Answer.. what i've heard of them is pretty sweet..(what the datsuns could have been)...i think it might have something to do with their drummer breaking his hand..(but that should only take 6-8 weeks to heal, surely!)

crapbandname  said about 2 years ago:

boring.

Mo  said about 2 years ago:

the new datsuns record rules i reckon.....

we supported the answer @ the annandale... i think they're like a louder heavier version of the black crowes

Scientificsupercake  said about 2 years ago:

yes, fair call, that's a better comparison for sure!

i'm going to this with my folks..they're super excited.

Pelt and/or Holler  said about 2 years ago:

want to go to this. whatever QEII/anz stadium in brisbane is called now is so far away though.

crapbandname  said about 2 years ago:

I'll tell you a sad truth.

wolfmother (the original) was a better band than acdc with brian. sorry guys.
so it is fitting that these bands should tour together.

crapbandname  said about 2 years ago:

actually that is just wrong. but it is fitting anyway.

__v  said about 2 years ago:

yes.

__v  said about 2 years ago:

did you get something out of it the second time that you didn't the first? just interested. i saw them once and feel like it was pretty comprehensive, but perhaps i am missing something.

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

i saw them on the Back in Black tour in 80/81? at the SIdney Myer music bowl, i'm never going to see them again as i don't think they could ever be that good again.

__v  said about 2 years ago:

ladyinred  said about 2 years ago:

fair gap between gigs for 2nd/3rd shows... if Pink can outsell AC/DC then I just don't know this world i live in.

losgauchos  said about 2 years ago:

The first concert I ever went to was their Razors Edge tour when I was in high school. It was fucken awesome, but it was very much a greatest hits show. The stage show is still pretty awesome, acca dacca are one of those bands you have to see once!!

Formerly known as Telstra Dome, formerly known as Colonial Stadium. Fuck the sponsors, it's Docklands to me.

Got standing tix to the Saturday Sydney show. Woo!

The_Tupelo_Flash  said about 2 years ago:

Why Wolfmother?!

It's like getting AC/DC Lite before the full-strength version come onstage. Boring.

Anyways, band's of AC/DC's size don't need support acts. waste of time.

101010101010101  said about 2 years ago:

I find Wolfmother as derivative and predictable as the next guy, but golly it'll be fun to see them in a big rock arena. Big, dumb fun.

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

looks like saturdays all gone in melb as well, bah.

bebop  said about 2 years ago:

Ill go to see wolfmother but ACDC are shit!

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

Always is.
