Wolfmother Gets ‘Cosmic’ With Slash

It goes from the ridiculous to the sublime for Wolfmother, who are currently recording in LA. One day, they’re naming their new album after a “cosmic” yoga pose, the next they’re jamming with Slash.
Earlier this week, the former Guns N Roses guitarist dropped in to LA’s Sunset Studios where the band are recording their second album.
“Had a great jam with Slash and his crew last night,” wrote frontman Andrew Stockdale on social networking site Twitter. “I think we may well have an epic on our hands, with a monumental solo of course!!!!”
Stockdale had previously talked up the collaboration on triple j morning show, Robbie, Marieke and the Doctor. He also reported that five new Wolfmother songs are finished. Seventeen in total will be recorded before the band head off to London to mix with producer Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins).
