Wagons Announce 'The Goodtown Roadshow'

Related: Wagons.
To celebrate the release of their fourth album The Rise and Fall of Goodtown, Wagons will go cross country over May, June and July.
"The Goodtown Roadshow” tour, which begins on May 14 at The Heritage in Bulli, will take in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide, and most regional points in between.
Out on April 17 through Spunk/EMI, The Rise and Fall of Goodtown was mixed and co-produced by electronic wunderkind Cornel Wilczek (Qua). Casting their net wider than ever before, Wagons move from songs “covered in sweat from the nose pads of Roy Orbison's glasses, to the leafy stench only found in the late part of a Creedence gig, all the way to the heart-clutching of Cash's funeral balladry”. Whatever that means.

Woo! This Saturday!
Who's in?
me perhaps!
Perhaps????
anyone know what time at newcastle uni today? i know it's a lunch time gig, but that can be pretty well any time between midday and 2pm.
made it in perfect time. awesome show, even if only 15 people in the audience cared. totally enjoyed it.
I can't wait to see Wagons playing their last show of the tour in my hometown!
You're from hamilton? Poor thing.
you know it? It's not so bad.. But i've not lived there as an adult.. apparently the night life is pretty dire.
Anyone else up for a weekend trip to Hamilton? We're gonna turn that town inside out.
longish article in the age
special mention of the hamilton show.
going places!
''do you love me like i love you?''
song in head all day.
haha yes! See, Hamilton is where it's at!
My parents will be there.. my ma loves Wagons.
I went to school there for a few years.
You can all party on at the Attic afterwards!
really? Which school? Maybe we know each other.. maybe my mum taught you!
so.. the Corner show is this Sunday!
I can't wait!
so, tonight, eh?
Uh.. I didn't get a ticket in time. Anyone got one they can sell me?
Hey, this was fun! I like them more each time I see them. That Henry Wagons is a right card.
he is indeed. did you pick yourself up a teatowel, postergirl?
bloody hell the corner was chockas last night too
I didn't pick me up a teatowel sharpie and now I really regret it! I trust you got one?
nah, i would've but wasn't too into the big orange face thing
Damn damn damn damn.
Still, there's the Hamilton show to look forward to..
I want a tea towel! I have a tshirt though that I bought at the album preview gig.
That's the one to go to.
I am slightly puzzled that no one, off line or on, has asked me about the beautiful woman I gave my first copy of the CD to. Not that I'd tell, but still...
I'm keen.. if I don't go to see Love Of Diagrams at the Tote I'll be at the bowling club.
Thanks for the CD, Block.. ;-)
Hush now, Lilo.
All the other beautiful women I know- including the one I actually did give that CD to- will get upset.
Photos from last night's show at the Corner
I also recommend the Oakleigh Bowling Club gig having seen Suzannah Espie's first CD launch show there of her tour. It's a seated venue with tables and you can order in a pizza or bring your own dinner.
Fuck me, Friday is sold out!
whoah, what!
what is it with the bands I like getting popular all of a sudden??
At least there's no chance the show in Hamilton will sell out..
Yep, sold out- to the count of 241 peeps- me being the extra 1.
Was a great night. They were in fine fine form, despite Henry's flu.
Strolling the frosty bowling greens at midnight with a $4.00 ($4.00!) stubby of Coopers in hand was surreal.
It must have been good Block - you sent me that $4 Coopers text message three times.
Tonight!
The Hamilton gig was awesome, much to the surprise of all!
I couldn't convince them to come to the Attic (AKA worst nightclub in Australia as voted by Zoo) though...
So weird seeing my Hamilton world and my Melbourne world colliding.
