Traps will launch their first 7” single at Sydney’s Curious Works Studio on May 23.
Out May 1 through emerging indie Rice Is Nice, ‘Standard Life’ is described as a “driving anthem” featuring off-kilter guitars, hypnotic vocals and a powerful rhythm section. It’s backed by 'Brainwasher', a song composed almost entirely on a Casio keyboard fed through washing delays, distortion and flanger.
The release follows performances with These New Puritans (UK), Children Collide and Pivot, as well as slots at Playground Weekender, My Filthy Riot and Saturday’s Essential Festival in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
