Enduring punk oddballs The Meanies will do a Lonely Island when they perform at Popfrenzy’s Afloat next month.
They will be joined by Brooklyn duo Matt & Kim, Sydney rabble-rouser SPOD and local indie upstarts Traps when Popfrenzy’s party boat sets sail on Sydney Harbour on May 3. Previous Popfrenzy Afloats – in 2004 and 2006 – have featured Les Savy Fav, The Gossip, Jens Lekman and Pretty Girls Make Graves.
The boat will depart from the Man ‘O’ War steps at the Opera House at 5pm sharp.

I remember someone called out for it at one of their metro shows and some dopey woman turned around and very loudly uhh.. ''defended the band from accusations'' to much groaning and throwing of cups. Pretty funny.
