Pikelet Readies Album, Tours OS

Pikelet will play a farewell show this weekend before jetting off to Europe, New Zealand and the US for a four-month tour. She will perform in full-band mode at Melbourne’s Thornbury Theatre on Saturday (April 18) with Grand Salvo and Extreme Wheeze.

Pikelet’s overseas jaunt will begin in Wellington, where she will spend one month rehearsing with Bachelorette (aka Annabel Alpers). She will then tour the US with Bachelorette, opening as Pikelet and playing keys and guitar in Alpers’ backing band. After the Bachelorette tour, Pikelet will play solo shows in Portland, Anacortes and New York City.

She will then head to Europe with shows planned in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, the UK, Estonia, Latvia, Russia and Finland. “I'm booking that leg myself and it's coming along slowly but surely,” Pikelet (aka Evelyn Morris) told M+N.

Pikelet will finish mixing her second album, Stem, before the tour, with a release date tentatively planned for October.
