Rogers Looks Back, Dumps Manager

If you thought Screamfeeder’s reprisal of Kitten Licks was the last public flogging of the “Don’t Look Back” concept you’d see this year, think again.

Next week, Tim Rogers and The Temperance Union will reunite with some “old friends” to play What Rhymes with Cars and Girls in its entirety in Melbourne and Sydney. He will perform at the Northcote Social Club on April 23, at the Annandale Hotel on April 24 and at Manly’s Fishos on April 25.

*What Rhymes With Cars And Girls – Rogers’ first solo disc – was recorded in the winter of 1998 during some time off from You Am I. The album was recorded with the help of Jen Anderson, formerly of Weddings Parties Anything, with many of the songs inspired by Rogers’ break-up with a long-term girlfriend.

In other news, Rogers has reportedly parted ways with Majorbox management. In a note posted on his MySpace page he confirms that he will now be self-managed. Yikes.

shame anzac weekend isn't a 3 dayer anymore, there's enough stuff on that you'll need a extra day to recover.
