Currently in the US for SxSW, The Grates will return to Australia in May for their “Biggest and Longest Adventure Tour”. Contrary to its rather grandiose title, the tour will span a mere 14 days, taking in seven cities along the way – Perth, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Brisbane, their hometown.
They will be joined by Melbourne indie upstarts Children Collide with local up’n’comers selected for hometown legs (except Hobart because there are no good bands there): DZ (Brisbane), Tom Ugly (Sydney/Canberra), The Shiny Brights (Adelaide), Harlequin League (Perth) and Washington (Melbourne).
Before they head out on the road, The Grates will release a tour edition of second album, Teeth Lost, Hearts Won, on April 10. The CD/DVD package includes a DVD featuring 12 songs live at the Sydney Big Day Out, a documentary on the making of the album and clips for ‘Burn Bridges’ and ‘Aw Yeah’.

I hope there is a tour romance between Ryan (CC's drummer) and the Grates' drummer. Then she can be Mrs Nick Cave!!!
