New Solo Disc For Hooper

Been wondering what Mick Harvey’s been up to since quitting the Bad Seeds? Turns out he’s been producing the second solo album from Brian Hooper.
Titled The Thing About Women, the album features guest appearances by Dan Luscombe (The Drones, Paul Kelly) and Spencer P Jones (Beasts of Bourbon). It will be launched in full-band mode (with Harvey on bass) at the Empress in Melbourne on March 20, Hobart’s Republic Bar on March 27 and the Sandringham Hotel in Sydney on March 29. French band Svensson will be playing alongside Hooper at all shows.
Hooper came to prominence as a founding member and co-songwriter of two iconic acts: Kim Salmon and the Surrealists and the Beasts of Bourbon. He recently supported Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on their Australia-wide Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! tour.
