Fifty-one bands, three stages, two days. “Boutique” rock festival My Filthy Riot is back with a vengeance in 2009.
Held over two days (March 21 and 22) at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney, My Filthy Riot will feature performances by The Scare, Regular John, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Art Vs Science, Fait Accompli, Teeth and Tongue (VIC), Fire! Santa Rosa Fire! (SA), Songs, Talons, Oh Mercy (VIC), Sherlock’s Daughter, The Amazing Phillip Sisters (VIC) and Aleesha Dibbs.
And while the usual festival amenities are included – DJs, a chill out area, Thai food and a barbecue – organisers have kept prices down to $20 per day. Nice.
The first My Filthy Riot was held at the Annandale Hotel in October 2008. It was subsequently nominated for a Sydney Music Arts and Culture Award.
