Wagons Preview New LP

Wagons will take the concept of between-song banter to unprecedented extremes at The East Brunswick Club on April 9.

Part VHI Storytellers, part Classic Albums, the "event" (because "gig" underplays such things) will see the band preview songs from their new album The Rise and Fall of Goodtown (out through Spunk/EMI on April 18) with one, unique twist: an emcee.

Hosting the night will be Triple R "Breakfaster" Fee B Squared, who will interact with the band and audience between tracks, exploring the ideas and back stories behind their new LP.

The follow up to 2007's The Curse of Lightning, Wagons' latest disc reportedly explores "fresh musical territory", which isn't so easy when you're a band that leaves few musical stones unturned. The album was mixed and co-produced by electro whiz Cornel Wilczek (aka Qua), whose production credit is plastered all over records by Pivot, Architecture in Helsinki and Mountains in the Sky.

Tickets $12 on sale today (February 16).
