Auf Wiedersehen Sparkadia

When you've "conquered" Australia like Sparkadia have – a #23 album on the ARIA charts, an 11am slot at The Big Day Out – European expansionism is the next logical step.
The Sydney four-piece will relocate to Germany "indefinitely" later this year. Following in the footsteps of Aussie expats Devastations and, er, that chick from Chicks on Speed, they will base themselves in Berlin, where they will record a new album and tour Europe.
To say auf Wiedersehen to Australia – the quitters – Sparkadia will play a string of shows in March/April before they pack their bags. The tour will include a performance at the Rock It Festival in Joondalup, WA, as well as two consecutive shows at The Zoo in Brisbane. Perhaps they should relocate there?
Sparkadia will be supported on all legs of the tour (save for WA) by Brisbane's John Steel Singers and Sydney's The Jezabels.

They do have an 'international' sound don't they? I wish them well.
if by 'international' you mean 'utterly dull and generic' then yeah, they do.
I don't know why this is so funny, but it is.
I'm not a fan of the band, but jesus that it is one back-handed, bitchy 'plug'
That photo is so Roger David.
Yeah, I wonder why any PR girls (they're usually girls) would send press releases to M & N. They're only gonna get bitingly cynical honesty.
well by international I mean they are modern and slick and slightly danceable without being slavishly attached to tsubi trends. I don't listen to them but I don't mind them.
i saw one of their songs on rage once.
I for one am outraged about M+N's bitchy, backhanded plugs for Australia's career-oriented safety-rockers. If you can't say anything nice, why say anything at all? My only consolation is that I am still able to read street press articles about how bands that can now afford to buy advertising are ''really going places'', and Rolling Stone pieces hailing the latest work by Grinspoon or the Living End as an unparalleled artistic triumph.
their ''Jealousy'' song reminds me of New Order real bad
hahaha Block, that did my head in too. Jose?
two shows=well loved, no?
So much bitchiness Jose, I love it.
Can I use that in a review, unvisible?
This is one of the best Pirchfork Media articles I have read in ages....oh.....wait.....
hahaha frankie ur the best! once again may i remind eveyone that Berlin is a complete and utter wank
*OOH, snap! *
Please, by all means do.
look what being in Berlin does to people...
Comedian (I'm A...)
boom ting
I see what you're doing there.....
that would be preferable than what The Biz did to Evermore
i really ought to start proof reading my posts.
Are you sure that's a band? It looks like look at theis fing hipster .com.
