Rural Festival Returns

Missed out on seeing Tame Impala, The Drones, Architecture in Helsinki and the Grates at the last 17 summer festivals? Thankfully, Groovin the Moo is here to redress that.
The touring regional event, now in its fifth year, will take place in three towns across three states – Townsville (Queensland), Maitland (NSW) and Bendigo (Victoria) – in May. More than 20 local and international acts will appear at the festival including The Living End, Van She and Muscles, who vowed to quit the music biz in 2009. The electro-pop oddity is coming out of “retirement” to play a DJ set with “special guests” (Tim Rogers? Ben Lee? Bernard Fanning? Pav?).
Tickets go on sale on February 16.

Moo.
MGMT love Tame Impala
I wish they'd put it further up the coast than Maitland. It might as well be in Sydney.
MGMT love moo.
maybe Muscles won't be DJing music, and instead will be mixing songbooks... of poetry readings of the muscles blog.
With that lineup it should be free, but I bet it isn't.
de la soul!
I've heard The Pixies are headlining.
Hmmm....
How much is that Bendigo gig?
I'd love to see De La again.
worst name for a festival ever. even worse than big day out.
wow. i'd totally go for de la soul, ratatat and okkervil river.
canberra's rural enough, surely!
