They’ve endured personnel changes and label conflicts, hiatuses and protracted album releases, side projects and Melbourne circa 2003. But Treetops are back for more.
The perennial indie-pop underdogs will share six weeks on a tour bus with Tripe J faves The Exploders. Through February and March, the bands will work their way through five states, beginning in Victoria and wrapping up across the Nulla in WA.
The groups have also collaborated on a split 7” single featuring The Exploders’ ‘Royal Neil The Horse’ and ‘Can’t Stop Thinking About Spiders’ by Treetops. You decide what’s on side A.
Long-suffering Treetops fans will be pleased to know that the band’s six-deep live ensemble now features all four original members. They are also reportedly readying album number one, five years on.
