Green light For Perth BDO

Perth’s Big Day Out will take place at the Claremont Showground as planned. The event looked in doubt last week after Claremont Town Council refused an application to hold the event at its showgrounds, despite giving the go-ahead to BDO’s rival V Festival.

In a statement released today (January 7), BDO promoters said that approval had been granted, with the music limitations for the event remaining the same as past years.

BDO Perth promoter Ken Knight said: “It is nice to have this issue behind us, and we appreciate the support of the current Western Australian Government recognising the cultural significance of the event.”

The Perth BDO will take place on February 1. Local acts on the bill include Died Pretty, Little Red, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Youth Group and Cut Copy.
