The world may be in the grips of an economic crisis (it's on the news and everything), but that hasn't stopped yet another music festival from selling out.
Golden Plains, the sister festival of the ever popular Meredith, has officially sold out of tickets for the second year running. Not bad for an event that was launched in 2007 with no advertising, minimum fuss and no commercial sponsors or signage onsite.
Australian acts playing at Golden Plains, which will be held from March 7-9 in rural Victoria, include The Drones, The Church, You Am I and Luluc. A dozen more acts are expected to be announced.
