Melbourne’s Noise Bar will be converted into an “all-out party place” on January 17 for the Summer Noise Festival, an afternoon of live bands, DJs, dance troupes and food for $6 on the door.
The line-up includes Ouch My Face, The Sun Blindness, The Great Apes, Horse Competition, Dead-Before-Death-Gang, Duck Duck Chop, Yolke, StabbieStabbieKillKill, The Sliding Electric and Spitfire Parade.
All proceeds go to John Achuil, a Sudanese refugee who fled Sudan in 1986 after his village was attacked and his family were murdered. He has recently discovered that his younger sister and 93-year-old father are alive, and is trying to raise money for an airfare back to Sudan.
Doors open at 3pm.
