Has Spod finally met his match in Indiana's Totally Michael?
The one-man party machine who cites Prince and Blink 182 as influences will team up with Australia's own prince of kitsch for an east-coast tour in early 2009. The pair will perform together in Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne, but inexplicably not in Spod's hometown of Sydney. Perhaps the Opera House isn't quite ready for their party-starting, hyperkinetic shtick?
Spod was recently nominated for an inaugural Sydney Music Arts and Culture Award for best live performance. And with Atari duels, live Nintendo DS moogs and more, it's not hard to see why.
