Sydney electro-pop duo Wow are now a threesome. Stephen J Mitchell, who records and releases his own material as Emergency! Emergency!, has joined the band on synths and additional guitar.
He will be officially inaugurated when the band support Canadian punk-funk fiends Holy F*CK at The Annandale in Sydney on December 11. Wow will also perform at the sold-out Sydney leg of the Big Day Out on January 23.
Tracks from Wow’s debut release My Holiday In Space have recently been remixed by acts including Bumblebeez, Drugmoney, Mailer Daemon, Pink Frost and Tennis.

What happened to this band? Was thinking about them today. Never thought they were great or particularly bad but kinda intriguing that a band with so much hype and enthusiasm surrounding them would suddenly dissapear... Can't think of any other acts but this happened fairly regularly with the elctro/indie/post-punk etc.... revival around 5 years ago. It's like there was some kinda indie-dance bermuda triangle thingo.
Oh yeah, Damn Arms were one of these too.
I liked a lot of this music, however it all seemed a bit wanting it all or nothing.
Ha. I never knew this band existed, but am curious about the ''where are they now?'' aspect.
I guess they're not really a duo anymore! They're more like a trio! Now that they have a third member in the band!
