Assassination Collective Launch

“Nobody who has been to see us is going to be disappointed.”

These are the bold words of The Assassination Collective’s Matt Gleeson ahead of the release of the band’s sophomore album, A Million Fantastic Reasons.

Produced by Paul Morris, the album marks a departure of sorts for the Melbourne “supergroup” (how many times have you heard that this month?). While still pointed and politically charged, the loose feel of their debut, Fight! Or Assimilate and Die, has been replaced by a heavier sound.

“The first record we threw together as a party album,” said Gleeson. “This one has been road-tested up and down the whole country.”

Released on Afterdark Records, A Million Fantastic Reasons will be launched at Yah Yah’s in Melbourne on November 22.
