2009 is shaping up to be a big year for the indomitable Nick Cave. In addition to curating and starring in the inaugural All Tomorrow’s Parities festival in January, Cave will play an “intimate” show in Melbourne with The Bad Seeds at the Palace Theatre on January 6.
According to reports on Billboard.com, Cave will also publish his second novel, The Death of Bunny Munro, in September 2009. Published 10 years after his debut, And the Ass Saw the Angel, the novel reportedly "traces the fortunes of one man and his son on a road trip around the south coast of England following the suicide of his wife”.
All this while Cave’s 14th album, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, continues to receive acclaim locally and abroad. The album is nominated for a swag of ARIAs including Album of the Year.
