The summer festival season begins in earnest with the announcement of the first lot of bands for this year’s Pyramid Rock Festival.
Australian acts confirmed include The Living End, Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts, Karnivool, Gyroscope, The Herd, Birds Of Tokyo, The Getaway Plan, Little Red, Muph & Plutonic, Mammal and The Galvatrons. New Zealand reggae collective The Black Seeds are also on their bill, so if you’re a Nick Cave fan, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Now in its fifth year – a relative newcomer by Big Day Out/Meredith standards – Pyramid will be held in Phillip Island over the New Year period from December 29 to January 1. All online tickets available from www.thepyramidrockfestival.com.
