Forget Beijing. Melbourne folkie five-piece Lamplight will represent Australia at the only international event that matters – Berlin’s Popkomm – in October.
The band, who dropped their sophomore self-titled album earlier this year, will play a showcase gig at the SXSW of the east (Europe, that is). They are also on standby to perform at Reeperbahn Festival and Iceland Airwaves Festival. So here’s hoping someone breaks a leg.
After touring Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney on their ‘Ship In A Bottle’ tour, Lamplight will return to Melbourne for their “hometown show of the year” in August.
