Pivot will celebrate the release of their second album, O Soundtrack My Heart, with a slew of shows in July/August.
The Sydney slacker-prog (or slog) trio have spent the first part of 2007 touring Europe, where they supported the likes of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Battles, No Age, Chemical Brothers and Born Ruffians.
Set for release on Warp Records/Inertia, O Soundtrack My Heart is described as “emotive and cerebral -- the raw garage energy of three explosive musicians alongside intensive studio production”.
In addition to dates in Melbourne and Sydney supporting Iceland’s Sigur Rós, Pivot will play solo dates across the east and west coast of Australia before heading back to Europe.
