We Kes A Lot

Related: Kes.
It’s been a big month for oddball folk collective Kes.
First they drop a new album, the appropriately titled Kes Band, then they’re being named one of the hot Melbourne bands to watch out for in The Age’s EG.
But far from letting the accolades go to their heads, Kes are getting back to what they do best -- playing live. The band will launch their new album on May 9 at Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne with Love of Diagrams and Francis Plagne Band.
So what does the new album sound like? Think the reckless abandon of its predecessor The Grey Goose Wing with a more “a accessible pop sensibility”.
It’s out now through Mistletone.
