Have Snowman’s very existence been nothing more than a cleverly hatched plan to “get the fuck out” of Perth?

Just months after dropping their new record, The Horse, The Rat and The Swan, the band will do a Devastations and relocate to the grassy green pastures of Europe. Not Berlin, however, but London, the home of fellow Aussie expat Peter Andre.

In the meantime, there’s still work to be done on these here shores. After the release of the record through Dot Dash/Remote Control on May 24, the band will head out on a national tour in July.

Word on the street is that The Horse, The Rat and The Swan is one dense mother; a “work evidently expunged from the band’s collective psyche … extracted whole, writhing and coated in a primordial slime”. Well, that’s what the press notes say anyway.

Still, if the lead-off single We are the Plague is anything to go by, we suggest you strap yourselves in for a spooky, spooky ride.
