Brisbane’s The Boat People are no longer record label refugees, inking a deal with Ivy League Publishing.
The band is the first from Brissie to sign with Ivy League, home of The Mess Hall, The Vines, Josh Pyke, Sparkadia and The Silents … but don’t hold that against them.
Ivy League’s Andy Cassell: “The Boat People have been on our radar for quite sometime thanks to great songs like 'Unsettle My Heart' and 'Tell Someone Who Cares', we’re thrilled to welcome them aboard the good ship Ivy League.”
With their new album Chandeliers getting a final spit polish before it sets sail (get it?), The Boat people will perform in their native Brisbane in May before heading off to the UK for a series of solo shows and a slot at the Great Escape Festival.
