Having started in Frente when she was just 17 and having experienced international success by her 21st birthday, Angie Hart’s career comes full circle with the launch of her debut solo album. Grounded Bird, available on Saturday 22 September, features co-writes with the likes of Drone Dan Luscombe and Ben Lee. “It’s pretty raw and simplistic, this record,” explains Hart. “The images in it are the things that fell straight out of my subconscious.” Hart and a band of Melbourne players hit the road in early October. Tickets go on sale Thursday 23 August, with supports to be announced.
