What a disconnect: a party full of people who wouldn't bother with the mag, while the target audience wouldn't get past the first checkpoint.

My thoughts exactly.

Is this what passes for news these days?

At least there’s some some comedy value in these. Photo 13 features a couple of hipster dudes with their fists up looking tough.

It's not news. It's a photo gallery.

Thats two triple J presenters. The one on the left is a Melbourne comedian who also does stuff for the 7pm project, fucked if I can remember his name, but I worked on a film with him once a couple of years ago...funny dude*

    • This doesn't excuse the god awful looking party

Tom Ballard, and he is the unfunniest person in Australia.

beautifully shot, though. colours are gorgeous.

The comments by Mathieson and Big Daddy Kane are both absolutely correct.

The NME works, because it's established as the 'bible' of new music. London has an endlessly enthusiastic music scene with a huge population . It's hard for J Mag to be Australia's NME, considering that all the overseas music on Triple J comes via by the NME or Pitchfork.

and all local music comes via M+N...

... not really.
