Rowland S Howard: A Pictorial Tribute
ROBERT CARBONE pays tribute to legendary guitar slinger Rowland S Howard, who lost his battle with cancer on December 30. The photos encompass Howard’s performances at January’s All Tomorrow's Parties on Mt Buller (“These are how I would love to remember him ... fag in mouth and leaning down to play his ol' Fender Jaguar”); the Workers Club in Melbourne on October 4 (“I was surprised by how much his health had deteriorated”); and his final gig at The Prince Bandroom on October 29 (“It’s total bullshit that he was ‘coughing up blood’. He started the concert with a sore on his lip and bumped it on the microphone at the end”).
RIP brother.
