I've been trying to find somewhere good to have my birthday drinks on Saturday, but I'm completely stumped.
I want somewhere in Newtown/Surry Hillsish area, which won't be too busy, loud and full of wankers, but which has alright/non offensive music, just for drinking and laughing not dancing or anything fancy.
Any suggestions?

there are also a couple of pubs round Surry Hills that have top floors that you can hire. Also I think a friend has hired out Brighton Up Bar for her farewell so that could be an option
