rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago  or at  11:51AM on Monday, June 18 2007 in events

rhythm bell, Melbourne's premier shellac rip-off band, will be heading to sydney with new EP in tow in july.

to witness this thoroughly unoriginal spectacle, be here:

The Pitz, friday july 6

  • Further

  • Grand Fatal

  • Rhythm Bell

  • Arcane.

Snake  said about 4 years ago:

Awesome line-up. Anyone going to this must buy the Rhythm Bell EP.

Also, that guy that wrote the stuff about you guys being a Shellac rip-off is a dick. It was great to see everybody jump to your defence.

littlearch  said about 4 years ago:

Snake  said about 4 years ago:

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

i will check the band budget. your presence may be more of a drawcard than the band's, so it may be worthwhile.

dudewolf  said about 4 years ago:

ill put on my 'solo show'. its fukkin sweet.

liamsnice  said about 4 years ago:

then a big welcome home party at sideshow @ cbd the week after.

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

i wonder what dudewolf's solo show would consist of...

dudewolf  said about 4 years ago:

its pretty much me standing in front of a mic, calling everybody in the room a cunt, kicking in the foldback and walking off. its sweet.

littlearch  said about 4 years ago:

MattuS  said about 4 years ago:

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

Scene Around Sound, 31 Winbourne Road, Brookvale.

Saturday July 7.

is now 10 bands for 10 bucks, as opposed to 11 for 11. bargain.

kabukiboy  said about 4 years ago:

hwct  said about 4 years ago:

kabukiboy  said about 4 years ago:

i listened to the old one the other day - that's rather good too!

tvforcats  said about 4 years ago:

hey put some tracks off your ep up on your myspace, I am going to employ the services of Nao soon so I wanna check out his work, and Im too much of a cheapskate to buy one.

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

ha - the march is one of the ones that nao recorded, but i think the version on there is pre-mastered.... he is a genius.

sound more like fugazu than shellac..

celluloid hero  said about 4 years ago:

ahaha you guys sound nothing like shellac

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

fugazu..... I'd like to hear them!

that vid is pretty funny.

Snake  said about 4 years ago:

I think fugazu is the japanese fugazi tribute band. I heard they're quite good.

liamsnice  said about 4 years ago:

man you look hot in that footage, if i were a girl..................

Snake  said about 4 years ago:

Nice vid RB.

bang!  said about 4 years ago:

the sas show is going to be the messiest day of the year

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

tvforcats  said about 4 years ago:

Make sure you go to bodhis, best vegan yum cha ever......

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

hmmm.... we will be sure to do so. is it shameful that we are as equally excited about the culinary aspect of this tour as we are about actually playing?

Charles  said about 4 years ago:

Rhythm Bell when is your next Melbourne rock concert? I still haven't seen you play and I want to.

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

our next 'melbourne rock concert' is at sideshow in the cbd. Saturday July 14 w/ kids with guns for hands and red light union. please come along!

tvforcats  said about 4 years ago:

dont be ashamed, My girlfriend and I get more excited about the Harbour Citys culinary delights than the company of said girlfriends sister who lives in Newtown.

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

so the line up for satdy is something like this:

  • twin city faction

  • ROFL (last show)

  • Worse off

  • kill a celebrity

  • if provoked

  • Arcane

  • Ebolie

  • Talons

  • Frank Rizzo

  • and of course, rhythm bell

i have no idea what the running order is, but apparently it is going to be HUGE!!!!!!!

liamsnice  said about 4 years ago:

tell me what talons are like when you get back cause they are playing at cbd the week after you. i really like their myspace stuff though.

kabukiboy  said about 4 years ago:

sydney show at the pitz is entry by donation (not 10 bucks) - though $10 donation would be appreciated.

liamsnice  said about 4 years ago:

treat these boys well up there, hold them gently for me.

rhythm_bell  said about 4 years ago:

sorry kabuki!!!
