ahh, that's rad. drum's not dead was my favourite of last year... or was it the year before? anyway, it was fantastic and such a departure compared to their previous stuff. i wonder if they'll do the dvd with 78023 videos thing again.

*my favourite of last year... or was it the year before? *

I just confused myself with the very same thing! pretty sure it was last year...

anok  said about 1 year ago:

early last year, prolly. i really overdosed on it last summer and could only really return recently.

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

I only jumped on the bandwagon late, adn I haven't over listened, so its cool. I think I haven't quite unravelled all the layers yet.

tadatadatada  said about 1 year ago:

awesome. this'll be good,

i never got around to watching the video's anyway.

anok  said about 1 year ago:

you should. a few of them are really cool.

ProDelgado  said about 1 year ago:

Broken Witch is one of my favourite songs of recent years.

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

Bump for those whose patronage M+N does NOT enjoy later in the evening...

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

...good...

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

WTF? Why didn't I see this earlier...

carlos esq  said about 1 year ago:

cannae wait! but c'mon...self-titled? for a band with some of the best album/track names that's somewhat of a cop-out!

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

Well, thats not the only thing that is more conventional about this record. Apparently its the most straightforward thing they have done thus far...

carlos esq  said about 1 year ago:

hmmm will be interesting no doubt...have you heard the new song that was given away on some free compilation...'Sunset Rodeo'? I think it may hint towards the new direction. Really good.

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

Can't say I have. Sounds good though...

tadatadatada  said about 1 year ago:

it's on a free adult swim compilation called warm & scratchy you can download off the internet.

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

Ah, I have heard about that. I'll go and find it right now!

curious to hear a more "straightforward" liars. they're like the one band i'd forgive for going a bit more normal

astralwerkor  said about 1 year ago:

Yep, its coming right now. Its got Liars AND 120 Days AND TVOTR AND Les Savy Fav AND Asobi Seksu AND The Brother Kite AND BSS AND the Raveonettes AND more. Nice one...

history  said about 1 year ago:

They're one of the best bands going around, can't wait to hear the nembie.

astralwerkor  said about 1 month ago:

Nah, I liked the last album. Thought it was good in parts, great in others. Not a patch on Drum's though.

djbollocks  said about 1 month ago:

I've seen them three times. The best gig I saw was when they played that dodgy Livid festival at Rod Laver. Man that was one strange gig.

juice_terry  said about 1 month ago:

Fair enough but personally- I am close to throwing the last album out its so crap.

when i get really upset with a band or album i melt the record on the stove, i have a small collection of them hanging in my house

gunshot_glitter  said about 1 month ago:

Thanks Basil!

I am still hung up on They threw us in a trench.....Drum's Not Dead is a very close second. Not a fan of the latest album. I tried so hard to like it :-(

adamdmills  said about 1 month ago:

i love the last album. but i love drum's not dead even more.

astralwerkor  said about 1 month ago:

Thanks for the back-up adm!

adamdmills  said about 1 month ago:

i'm your boy, astral.

astralwerkor  said about 1 month ago:

That you are, sir, that you are.

anok  said about 1 month ago:

pure unevil alone makes the record worth whatever you paid for it.

HEB said 16 hours ago: Split up??

you are so quick to jump to conclusions. did you think that perhaps the post refers to the fact that the country they live in has just elected a new president?

adamdmills  said about 1 month ago:

I recall they played a lot of stuff from the then unreleased second album. Opening with Broken Witch - I enjoyed it a lot.
