I know there was another thread on these guys a while back. Seems they have their own show on HBO - nothing better than HBO I say!

anyway here's a favorite - bowie

Glad I caught them in Edinburgh some years ago right before they became huge with their BBC radio thingy and various ads for mobile phones (but best skim over those). They're probably too fancypants to come back for a Melbourne Comedy Festival these days. Wah.
But good luck to them. Rather brilliant, those lads.

And hooray for HBO. That network surely is one of the wonders of the modern world.

Funny dudes.

anonymous  said about 4 years ago:

luckily saw them play at the bar at the victoria hotel in melbourne the first (only?) time they were here for comedy fest.

ooohoohohohooh. hbo? goodness me
this is exchiting

Inactivist  said about 4 years ago:

Whole first episode of their new HBO show here.

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

just like it says in the first post eh?

Inactivist  said about 4 years ago:

Oh yeah. In case it wasn't clear that they're streaming the episode, rather than just 'have a show on HBO', they're STREAMING THE WHOLE FIRST EPISODE AT THAT SITE!!

anonymous  said about 4 years ago:

i've been listening to the radio show they had on bbc, some bloody funny moments, and guest apperances from people like daniel kitson.

Inactivist  said about 4 years ago:

Arj Barker's "Dave" in the first ep.

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

after this series launches and stuff they're recording their next album with Sub Pop... I'm excited.

sharptooth  said about 4 years ago:

hey nony, is that radioshow available for podcast anywhere?

anonymous  said about 4 years ago:

hbo series is going down somewhat well, though its a bit of a rehash of the radio stuff.

i quite liked the first ep of the HBO series but i wandered off to make tea during the 2nd one and never came back

having said that i feel a bit outside the (ahem) target demographic

which is a strange feeling in itself

aloha  said about 4 years ago:

they're on letterman tonight.

if you're a insomniac like me. (or unemployed)

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

watched episode 5 in 3 parts on you tube last night...

the power of 666  said about 4 years ago:

I'm trying to like this from respected recommendations, but find it quite boring.

sharptooth  said about 4 years ago:

yeh i expected/hoped i was going to love it, but found it a bit blah

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

the HBO or them in general?

try the BBC radio series instead - betterer.

the power of 666  said about 4 years ago:

well, them inside their own show are kind of boring. Slight slither of charm, but it's not going to make me skip Entourage any time soon.

sharptooth  said about 4 years ago:

i like them and their standup gear. haven't heard the radio series - where can one get their hands on that, lipsy? i thought the tele show was a bit uninteresting

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

radio series betterer... it's available online.

gonadz  said about 4 years ago:

oh no this show just keeps getting better. trust me. weird that it's on in the states, and not in oz.

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

I agree... episodes 9 and 10 are my favourite so far.

slothman  said about 4 years ago:

yeah. when is this gonna get played in australia? surely sbs can find a comedy deathslot for it like they did for mighty boosh or marhengi repeats

ladyinred  said about 4 years ago:

hehehe funny stuff.
Slothman i agree... when are we going to get this show???
