n a press conference this afternoon about the arrest of Lindsay Lohan, cops say they found a "usable amount" of a drug at the scene, which they say was cocaine. Lt. Mitch McCann of the Beverly Hills Police Department would not say where the drug was found, but it was "not on her person."
Police tell TMZ that 20-year-old Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and trees in Beverly Hills around 5:30 AM. After the crash, police say LiLo got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries that involved "something to her upper chest area." Police said the two other people in her car were not hurt.
Officers received a 911 call about the accident and "tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest" for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Lt. McCann said it appeared as if Lohan was speeding and lost control.
Lohan was cited and released and will have to face a judge.
A rep for Lohan could not be reached for comment.

US authorities conducting undercover operations at trendy celebrity watering holes in Los Angeles want to know if Lindsay Lohan, who is under the legal drinking age, was served alcohol before a weekend car crash.
California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control investigators also want to know if Lohan or others were served after hours, agency spokesman John Carr said.
The drinking age in California is 21, and alcohol cannot be served after 2am. Videos show 20-year-old Lohan leaving Hollywood's Les Deux club at 3.30am.
The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control told the Beverly Hills Police Department it wanted to review witness reports and other evidence to determine if a formal investigation was warranted, Carr said.
Les Deux spokeswoman Marissa Knies said Lohan had dinner and was not drinking.
"Because of the enormous paparazzi presence outside of Les Deux that night, we allowed her to stay late and wait for her friends," according to a statement released by Knies.
Lohan, who turns 21 on July 2, was behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz that crashed into a curb and bushes on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills early on Saturday.
She was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence. The actress entered a rehabilitation facility on Monday, her publicist announced.
"We have a duty to check on these things whenever there's a report of a minor involved in a crash," Carr said.
There have been 10 recent enforcement operations involving Alcoholic Beverage Control and Los Angeles police officers checking Los Angeles area clubs, Carr said. The agency has four investigators in Los Angeles.
Club Teddy's at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood paid a $US3,000 ($A3,670) fine on May 4 for accusations last year that they sold contaminated beverages and sold alcohol after hours, Carr said.
There was also a pending investigation now in the hearing process against Hollywood Boulevard's Club Mood, another popular nightspot for young Hollywood, Carr said.
