Did you see them at the final night of the Punters Club? That was fucking glorious!

henry fellows  said about 5 years ago:

my word. dan and al, rocket science, the dead's. what a sunday!

Saw these guys once. They were good live.

gets nostalgic

i loved these guys

Hap and Ryda play around every now and then still. they may be playing in a couple of weeks. will keep ya posted. Hap's now in a band called the Underminers, very good also but not quite as ramshackle as the Deads could be

Kirsty Hand Hell has a video of theirs. Never watched it...might do so out of this sense of nostalgia.

Is that footage shot by Rex Hardware?

henry fellows  said about 5 years ago:

sure is. rexy's been busy dusting off some old ballarat footage and putting it online.

henry fellows  said about 5 years ago:

i'm sure you remember Lenny, the drummer from the Dead's. he's been putting some hilarious video's up also.

The crafty little bastard. But he is the archivist to end them all. He should release a DVD of all the Waterstock footage he's collected.

Now I have a Dead Salesmen song stuck in my head.

hand hell  said about 5 years ago:

x-post, I was tawking about Rex, not Lenny.

henry fellows  said about 5 years ago:

i agree, I been buggin him to release some of that old stuff on CD at least. A Deads live CD would be splendid to say the least.

hand hell  said about 5 years ago:

He's got the technology!

Gorn  said about 5 years ago:

amazing band. I saw their final ever gig at the Bridge Mall Inn in Ballarat back in 02. Unbelievable.

great show. so much love at their gigs these days. the corner sucks balls still though.

Hap is trying to raise some moolah to self-publish a real book of his lyrics from the past 20 odd years - salesmen, nulty grips, underminers, and everything in between. Go here to contribute or even just to watch the rather amusing appeal video.

lmc  said about 1 month ago:

Watching that just made my day 101 times better. Will Hap & Ryder be playing in your backyard jimmy?

Popboomerang  said about 1 month ago:
