The Official Number Four Formula Band in the Universe (the first three being AC/DC, The Ramones and Slayer) are back from hunting the mountains of Norway with a black leather bag jammed full of 11 bleeding specimen of that enigmatic, untameable beast commonly known as Deathpunk. Live to enjoy it, if you have what it takes.
A classic rock band with a distinct sound, true pride in their punk rock roots and expressing themselves with the authority and skills of a veteran group, Turbonegro don't give a fuck what you think. Turbonegro are the high priests in the Church of Destruction!

Turbonegro about Retox:
“We're back, with a record that hits you in the head like
brass-knuckles and a two-by-four!”
“If Retox was a colour, it would be a darker shade of BLINDING WHITE!”
”Retox is a nihilistic homo punk metal bikermovie: Full of speed, power, humiliation and freedom!”
”We survived Grunge, Britpop, House music, hip-hop, new rock revolution, dance rock, but maybe not new rave..? People say we've been making the same record for 10 years, that's not right. We've been making the same record for 4-5 years.”
“Retox is rock music that's been up for 5 days without sleeping, able to see more than most people, but not seeing anything exactly clear.”
“Retox is the sound of cold steel slashing through hot leather!”
Retox is to be locally released June 23, 2007

Just what everybody needs.
reserves judgement
sits on fence next to kuro
are we over them yet? early posts from mono heavyweights leans towards yes.
hah
so not everyone dug party animals, and others would say its been declining returns for a few albums now, but theres still a sense they could come out and do something awesome.
I need to hear the bloody thing before I can pass judgement. It could be a steaming pile, it could be the best album of the year, but if 'Party Animals' is anything to go on, it might as well be a Lordi album.
oh, what nony said.
I don't need to hear it. Please, let it pass without me hearing it.
waits for leak
yr such a coolsie rigid
Just saw them play in Hamburg and they only played 3 new songs. The new ones had the same shonky metal-light sound as Party Animals. Only 3 new tracks played on the tour for the album does not fill me with confidence for "the sound of cold steel slashing through hot leather" on the new LP.
Shit hot live show though.
waits for leak
Presents leak to anonymous on platter
Listened to one song. Sounded pretty boring. But i've never been a fan.
yup, got it as well, had a oink message
havn't listened yet, will wait until morn.
well???
embarassing
What? Are these guys not cool anymore?
I reckon it sounds pretty good.
Hmmm. I gave Party Animals way too much credit for what they've done in the past. They better fuckin' get it right this time.
fuck up sooks.
i had a friend say once "turbonegro are so gay, fuckin scando homo's".....
finally giving this another spin..
so far, not as glam as party animals..
hmm, probably back to scandanavian leather?
actually, i think the problem is they've written some good songs in the past, many which have become anthemic, now they're trying to write anthems from get go, when all they really need to do is write good songs and it should sort itself out.
probably not the first or last band to do that.
yup, trying to hard to be smartarses, "everybody loves a chubby dude" is pretty average.
last song toughest thing on there, bags out bob rock and pronounces kill city better then funhouse.
hmm
so iconoclastic!
yeah..
save your cash for the new blacklist record, from what ive heard its way better then this...
and they'd probably win in a fight.
i really liked party animals :-(

how would this be a bad thing?
i quite like it. it's a step back in the right direction.
more punk?
not unless the dictators have released another album
mo it's just not as glam.... heh maybe it's not for you.
Dirtier sound. A few predictable songs though.
just not that catchy, not much reason to go back to it, rather put on ass cobra, or apoc dudes, or even scandanavian leather.
Apoc Dudes = their peak.
Impossible to match.
I cherish the first time I saw them live. I only knew them from the Get it on video and was totally blown away. I have seen them twice since and they just didn't look very exciting.
like Barman says, Apocalypse Dudes is their absolute best, followed by Ass Cobra. And there are some good songs on Scandinavian Leather too; Drenched in Blood, Gimme some.
Apart from all this I find that whole Turbojugend thing a bit of a joke.
you can always spot a faux trbngr fan.... sighting dudes or cobra as the best. we all know that never is forever is the rock opera masterpiece of all time. retox is growing on me. must get the vinyl.
