Bump. finally got the album 555 (hi Carl!!!), and I'm fuck'n loving it.
you're on the ball! i only just found out about these guys, have seen them twice already and they are fucking great! they actually give me hope. where were they 8 months ago and how the fuck did you find out about them then?
They'd recently released 555 at that stage I think and I was listening intently on mysapce. I only got round to getting the actually album about 6 months afterward I've only seen 'em once, on NYE, but it was a fucking great show.
yeah NYE was the first time i'd heard of them, and i was only there that early because my friends persisted on hitting the bar early :-P glad i did. saw them last week at the hydey and they were even better. really are pretty unique. i'm going to have to get the album, can't stop listening to the myspace.
WELL! Baseball played with the French Rockets on Sunday at the Hydey, and it was awesome! A wholeistic experience or sight and sound indeed. They're also reasonably decent card players too

French Rockets have been locked away for the past few months writing and recording their sophomore long player and devising new ways to trip you out with their unique AV display.
With supports by NAIK, the upcoming Usurper of Modern Medicine and the Fractal Disco DJ's, Freq.Convergence will not only be the unveiling of fresh French Rockets sound material but also a new light and visual show.
The Inaugural Freq.Convergence is devised in conjunction with Steve Hughes, the Assistant Director of the acclaimed French Rockets film clip '1x1(2010 Redux)' and responsible for Tame Impala’s visuals on their recent tours.
True to the French Rockets ethos this will be a bonafide aural and visual spectacular.

there's bits of that era scream yeah. thankfully they don't go the cheesy rave synth angle.
it's like they've combined the best bits of most my favourite bands, and come out with their own cool sound. favourite aussie band i'd have to say. when you see them live, you'll know it.
