So, yeah, Shut Up I Am Dreaming is one my favourite albums for a long time. Why no fred on these dudes? Fantastical side project from Spencer Krug from Wolf Parade. And did i read somewhere about a new album soon too? Sweet!
My Spack for peeps who know nout of them. I'm sure you people know them, but there is still no real love for my Wolf Parade thread here either. Yeah, yeah, mono and shit. I know, chut up.

YEAH! And the new Handsome Furs (Dan Boeckner and gerl) album is rather swell too.

don't think it's officially out yet - but promos are circulaing and then, I suppose, there is always that internet thing that all the yoofs like.
Gotta say Boeckner seems to have taken a leaf from Krug's songwriting for this one.
Hmmm, inneresting. i watched one video and was impressed by the song. you can get it off the subpop website.
They do a fantastic cover of Xiu Xiu's Apistat Commander on the latter's Remixed and Covered CD.
Some new songs here. Also some new Wolf Parade songs there too. New album out october times. Very excited...

Yeah! And then like they could add Swan Lake to the bill and why not Frog Eyes and Destroyer? Hell, how about Subtle, just so they could perform that song with Boeckner.

I saw these dudes in New York last May. They weren't that great and didn't even play They took a vote and said no. It would've been much better had it been Wolf Parade or even Handsome Furs
This saddens me greatly. I hope, if they ever tour, that they are as awesome as I expect.
How awesome would a Sunset Rubdown / Wolf Parade / Frog Eyes / Handsome Furs shindig be. Cripes

I really like it, though it's a case (as always with Krug's work) of being in a very specific, focused headspace.

I keep listening to this, knowing I should detest everything it offers, but I fucking love it....
That's funny because I feel exactly the opposite; I listen to Sunset Rubdown thinking I should love everything they offer but end up detesting it. That said they do an incredible cover of Xiu Xiu's Apistat Commander (it's on the Xiu Xiu Remixed and Covered cd) which is well worth checking out Hellza.
