Awesome band.
Obviously they dropped off in the early eighties, but killer album after killer album.
My faves are Live at Leeds (on vinyl), Who's Next and Odds &Sods.
Just a shame they're not what they were.

My all-time favourite band. Ever. For all time.
But they already have a thread.
Where? I searched, but couldn't find one. Where is it?
Hmmm. They definitely had one before... can't find it now...
Well, this is it, then.
Good work, outerspace.
i couldn't find one either.
hey, fancy meeting you here, anneh.
Anne, didn't expect to see you here..
snap.
great great great band...
love so many of their records
I have a 5 disc bootleg of Pete's demos starting from the beginnning and going through to 78....
i also have a bunch of who bootleg DVDs...
I would like to put it out there, and its generally argued with by non-believers, that Tommy is the greatest Who record. For all its disjointed grandeur, there is just something about it...
I fucking love Tommy.
it is evidence of townshend's singular genius, that's for sure.
I think Quadrophenia is the best.
live at leeds is the best for me
followed by Sell Out
then tommy'
then whos next
i like the early stuff most.
a quick one and the who sell out are amazing.
Was just thinking of The Who today as I picked up April's Uncut with Keith Moon on the cover.
The Who Sell Out is my personal fave.
What a fucking shit house thread. All this who-ha about the who....
for my good friend funky...
the first ep I ever owned had
I can see for miles
our love was is
mary ann with the shakey hand
substitute
My favourite is... My Generation. Seriously. Probably because it's the one I fell in love with first.
Sold my Live in Leeds LP and A Quick One LP to pay for booze and rent..
Damn...
i'm listening to love ain't for keepin' at the moment, i think that's my favourite who song.

Good Night Keith Moon
Nice - a trifle sad - but nice
Kind of a lonely touch to it but I'm glad it wasn't a humorous let's-take-the-piss-out-of-Keith's-death in a nasty way.
About to listen to Two Sides of the Moon. It's awful and woeful and all things in between but I love it.
Looks like it could be the end of The Who.
Where did you find those, Arthurly?
on my poota sceen!
GAH!!!
Look at how young Keith is in those photos!
Best drummer in the world. Bar none.
This tale may have been posted before but this is a good summation of events:
WHO’S NEXT? SCOT HALPIN THE DRUMMER WHO FILLED IN FOR KEITH MOON IN 1973
Roger Daltrey to perform Tommy 24 March
No mention of Pete's involvement.
last month Roger perfromed with Zak, Pino, Rabbit, Simon and Jeff Beck. maybe it'll be them
