Bugger - just got a refund email to say the gig is cancelled. This is the Brisbane show, anyone know if the rest are still on?
Looks like the whole thing might be off - Ticketmaster says Melbourne is cancelled, and the Ticketek won't let you buy for Sydney...

They are/were the headliner for Playground Weekender - tough time for festival cancellations...
In the back of my mind, doves are managed by Martin pike., who also manages broadcast. This could be bullshit, but the bands were def friendly with each other.
Is there an official announcement in regards to this? I've searched twitter to no avail - that is sadly where my Internet skills in forensics end.
Officially cancelled, from Facebook. Comments are speculating that it is a band breakup, but not sure there's any evidence to back that up. Here's the statement -
Doves
We regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control we have been forced to cancel our forthcoming tour of Australia.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly and our sincere apologies go out to anyone who has bought tickets for the shows and for any inconvenience caused.
Refunds will be available from point of purchase.

Anyone got a vinyl copy of Lost Souls they would be willing to part with at a reasonable price? They seem to go for an obscene amount of money on eBay and Discogs these days.
