The Ramen Girl

fashionhayley  said about 5 years ago  or at  4:47AM on Monday, April 23 2007 in films

A new movie coming out starring Britany Murphy set in Tokyo, it is trying to be lost in translation. It is about a girl who ends up alone in Tokyo after breaking up with her boyfriend and tries to find meaning in her life by training to be a ramen chef. She then falls in love with her Sensei! LAME

Watch them filming in Yoyogi Park with the famous rockabilly dancers who are there every Sunday. Its sooo gross how she is walking around, too dressed up and pretending to be Scarelett Johansen silently pondering life! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is gonna be shit!

And here is this official site I want to know when this will be released. Also how can they be allowed to so obviously copy an idea! As the synopsis on the official site says its about a girl who is lost in the shuffle of a foreign culture......I know how they pitched this movie its just like lost in translation, but without the cool soundtrack ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Is this ever going to be released??? Does anyone know anything about it?

nyx  said about 4 years ago:

Imdb says this year.

Now, why did I bother to look that up?

fashionhayley  said about 4 years ago:

I saw that too, but I mean like an exact date....or a trailer

nyx  said about 4 years ago:

Well a little more research shows it was supposed to be released in June last year and if they have pushed back the release this far then it must be some serious rubbish.

fashionhayley  said about 4 years ago:

I want to see how bad it is

nyx  said about 4 years ago:

I love it when people want to see bad movies on purpose. It is such an odd compulsion.

One time, my Dad bought a Kurt Cobain vhs from the dollar store becuase he thought I liked Nirvana(I can't blame him WHATS WITH KIDS EH!), and there was no actual footage of Nirvana, or songs by them, but stock footage going through Seattle streets with wiritng scrolled down the bottoma bout Nirvana, and then interviews with random people like this one dude that was like ''... Nirvana are great'' and some fat chick in flanno ''I relate to Nirvana''

fashionhayley  said about 3 years ago:

Hey I found a trailer for it on youtube and yes it looks like total shit but I still wanna see it just for the cringe factor.

fashionhayley  said about 3 years ago:

It is out on DVD now...and when I was in Tokyo in Feb it was out, but by the time we went to see it at the cinema its run was over. Anyway it sucks, but not as much as I thought it would...they cut the scene in Yoyogi park with the dancing Elvis's.
