Proof of the existence of God. surely

rots teeth and guts, but, a beautiful drink

especially where i come from, true cider country....

can i get some love for the fermented apple?

If it's sweet and yella, you got juice there, fella.
If it's tangy and brown, you're in Cider town.

kickedintheshins  said about 5 years ago:

mmmm....pints of flat cider filled to the rim.

Reverb  said about 5 years ago:

i've been on the Cider nd black tonight.

£1.55 a pint, and the black takes away the taste of vinegar...

cider renaissance going on.

magners around, bulmers on tap all over the shop (inc pony!) little creatures releasing pipsqueak cider, the harcourt ones available just around the corner (including the perry) and a ever increasing cider section at good bottle-o's that isn't strongbow or mercury.

UntalkativeBunny  said about 4 years ago:

Bress cider (also from Harcourt) is good too

props to the thread...

I love my magners and my bulmers and my pipsqueak - SEE LIAM!! - GOOD CIDER

TransientRandom  said about 4 years ago:

oh wow, yum. i'm going to hunt down pipsqueak the next time i fancy a drink!

there's a fabulous fancy pants one that comes in a champagne bottle which i tried once at the NSC. mmmmmm! expensive (think it was $5 for a champagne glass?) but very highly recommended. incognito and i saw another or perhaps the same champagne bottle cider in the bottle-o the other week for $30 a pop. ouch.

my very favourite is the pink cider you can get on tap in NZ, which i forgot the name of. god, what a wonderful country. being able to walk to the corner store for 1.5 liters of the stuff in a soft drink bottle is the way it should be!

i miss scrumpy jack. the added pear juice made that drink.

redlips  said about 4 years ago:

there's a pear cider that nony pointed out to me in duncan's on the weekend - he'll probably be writing a far more useful post about it right now.

anonymous  said about 4 years ago:

naw, its just henry of harcourt (link up the thread from pops) make a local perry. (pear cider)

the champagne ciders i've seen around as well.

and a couple of other locals & imports i cannae remember.

Lilo  said about 1 year ago:

Two Metres Tall (the people who make the Huon cider) are now doing a perry cider. I've not tried it yet but I was chatting with the woman who makes it the other day. I'll pick some up on Saturday, I reckon.

Rekordelig's winter cider - so yummy!! Cider with cinnamon & vanilla flavour.

dnzr  said about 10 months ago:

tastes even better if you heat it up.

Coz  said about 10 months ago:

Yeah, I reckon it would. Unfortunately I only bought one bottle when I had it the other night, and couldn't be arsed heating it up. I may have some hot ones tonight, maybe.

I'm late to the cider party but I just want to say that I have recently discovered Magners and I love it. I would drink it for brekfast if I could. But that would make me alcoholic. And broke.
