i loved Mars Volta, but that last album is really hit and miss, and they're starting to shit me a little. BUT I have t o say, I never really like ATDI in the past because I found Cedric's vocals shithouse... so I have The Mars Volta for making me appreciate ATDI more.

Would love to see ATDI. When I was 16 or 17 I begged my Mum to let me go to the BDO in Brisbane (at the time I lived about 4 hours away in a rural area) because I desperately wanted to see ATDI.

I wasn't allowed to go because I'd already gone to Livid a few months before and I was ''BUT MUM YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, IT'S ATDI'' and Mum was ''They'll play again, you can go next time'' and then a couple of months later they broke up.

I bet they don't come here and I'll die having never seen ATDI, thanks a lot Mum.

I would be surprised if they didn't tour here. The guys obviously like us. Mars Volta seem to come out every year and Jim Ward has been out at least a couple of times in recent years.

i think internal friction was the real problem (hence the split down the middle with Sparta and Mars Volta). Basically Jim and Cedric not liking each other.

Jim had been kicked out of the band previously (el gran orgo EP time), and i think touring so much after R.O.C. was the tipping point.

there was only a problem with the moshing at sydney. i think the drugs probably had more to do with a break up, but that's just a guess.
