I haven't been in 8 years, since I had my braces removed. I'm not phased by the dentist, though. Except for when they put the mould stuff in your mouth to get an impression of your teeth.

oh man i had a tooth ripped out last week ..it was fine, I felt some pushing, pulling, prodding etc but I was so numb that I literally had no idea what was coming out of my head

Nah history - not painful at all, and I got a full check-up with x-rays less than 6 months ago so I'm sure if any of my roots were dying it would have been noticed then. It's not painful at all but there is some cosmetic damage - touch wood that's all it is. But I'm going straight to the dentist, I don't want to risk anything.

Gah, couldn't get in with my dentist until tomorrow, didn't want to go to the dental hospital. My damaged tooth is sharp and cutting the underside of my tongue, but I can't resist playing with it so now lots of other parts of my tongue are cut up too :(
