Music from Newcastle-based Summer Night Air in episode 2, wooh!

Ambient & chilled, and their album is available as a free download from here

Never watched Skins, the adverts put me off, it made it look as though the stars were the most punchable people in the world.

devines  said about 5 years ago:

hahhaha that's how i felt when i watched the adds, but the show is actually quite entertaining and has some decentish music.

berrrrrrrrr i was just about to start a thread about this

its fucking rad

i agree with devines about being a fucked up OC

basically follows a group of raucous young friends from Bristol as they drop pills, pass exams, have sex and undermine their parents

definitely  said about 5 years ago:

it's okay. i'd love it if i was a teenager... silly light entertainment.

i think the first episode was the best, but it's been going downhill since then.

that 'about a boy' guy is pretty easy on the eye.

HEB  said about 5 years ago:

First episode is a straight "As If" style teen drama
It gets more complex and dark as it goes on.
The Russia episode [co-written by Simon Amstell] was a bit of a mess.
But the revenge on Tony in the sports club was truly harrowing, adult TV.

Teenager: 'I'm Sorry Mam'

Updated: 14:55, Friday April 13, 2007

The teenage girl whose party trashed her parents home has apologised - but is still in hiding and is too scared to face them. Two hundred teenagers from across the country travelled to Rachael Bell's party after it was advertised on the internet. Her distraught mother told Sky News she felt her home has been "raped".

Damage estimated at around £20,000 was caused to the detached house. Every room in the house was ransacked and the girl's mother's wedding dress taken from a wardrobe and urinated on. Rachael had been left in charge of the property, in Woodstone Village, while her parents took a one night caravan holiday. The party had appeared on Rachael's MySpace website labelled Easter Monday Bash Skins Unofficial Party - a reference to the controversial Channel 4 series which featured scenes where a teenage get-together got out of hand. It had been subtitled "Let's trash the average family-sized house disco party". She says someone added the comments without her knowledge.

Rachael is now staying with friends for a "cooling-off" period. "It was just supposed to be a party with a few friends and it turned into a complete nightmare. I'm sorry mam," she said. "It was so surreal - it still seems surreal. You just can't imagine anything like it happening. I still haven't properly slept, I just keep waking up and thinking about what happened," she told the Sunderland Echo.

Her father, Alan, told Sky News: "We're totally traumatised. I only hope she shows some remorse." Mrs Bell said: "It's worse than a burglary, I can't believe it. Whoever has come in here are worse than animals. It's like house rape. They've been sick everywhere, urinated and trashed the house. It will take a month for it to be professionally cleaned. I want people to be prosecuted for what has been done," she told Sky News.

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "There were hundreds of kids piling out of cars and minibuses. This is a quiet street. If there had been 15 or 20 kids, I would have been shocked but when there's that many and you see somebody getting out of a taxi with a suitcase full of alcohol, it sets the alarm bells ringing."

Neighbour Morc Coulson, 45, said today: "I could not believe what I was seeing. I went out with a golf club trying to get them away but they were climbing over fences and scrambling over fields."

A spokesman for Durham Police said the incident would be investigated.

Nabila  said about 5 years ago:

^^ "Sets the alarm bells ringing?" Then why the hell didn't she call the police earlier or something?

Anyway, did anybody watch the season finale of Skins. That whole singing thing was so weird, I didn't get it at all. But the show was pretty farcical.

Reverb  said about 5 years ago:

i just watched the first episode on youtube. Good, not great. It had some laugh out loud moments, but not too many.

Their psychology teacher is booootiful.

Nabila  said about 5 years ago:

Oh geez, I couldn't stand her. She was so timid.

HEB  said about 5 years ago:

I loved the show, and the finale.
Brave, intelligent and occasionally insightful

I liked the first US episode. Maybe not as good as the English skins but I dont recognise any of the cast in the above pic. who are they? Have effie and cook and all that graduated?

That made me so angry.

Spidey  said about 1 year ago:

Any thoughts on Series 5 , Ep 1 yet?

Frankie? Frankly...i was bored .

Will keep watching because im a donut.

HEB  said about 1 year ago:

An infinitely better start than S3
I slogged through the last two years hoping for the spark(le) to return
There seems a far greater liklihood here than with the last lot

lokihanns  said about 1 year ago:

Really enjoying this season. Seems to have moved from the kind of 'how shocking can we get?' thing of the last two seasons to being based around strong characters and good fucking storytelling again. Just finished episode 5 and am loving the ambiguity they left subtley hanging there that's unlikely to be resolved.

MelonHCST  said about 1 year ago:

This is one of the worst shows in existence. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

kelele  said about 1 year ago:

Does anyone know of a reliable streaming website, aside from Sidereel for Skins US? I'm hanging for ep 7.

kelele  said about 1 year ago:

Season 3 and 4 were terrible. Season 5 is phenomenal. I love the new cast and it's better than Skins US. I was so disappointed by season 3 and 4 that I liked Skins US better but can't wait for 6 now, great characters, great everything.

HEB  said about 1 year ago:

Yep, Series 5 was a welcome return to the world of the first two years
The Chris Blood reveal was nicely handled, and despite the hardships and pain, the show regained its feelgood factor
There was some clunkiness, but it helped having a much more sympathetic group of characters

Coz  said about 5 months ago:

Is it wrong the Rich does silly things to my loins? He's playing a character almost ten years younger than me, after all.

ocelotl  said about 5 months ago:

Fuck, I'm missing something. Have loved this series all the way through, but after watching the first five episodes of series 5, I quit. These kids just shit me. What is their problem? Ehh, maybe the age difference has become too much for me?! Shame.

Coz  said about 5 months ago:

I still haven't seen any more than bits&pieces past season two.

ocelotl  said about 5 months ago:

Should have said I've loved this show all the way through, as in, series 1-4. Series 5 is arse.

Coz  said about 5 months ago:

I guess for me, other than feeling an affinity with Cassie (probs cos we're both nutbags, yeah?) the only thing that really turned this show from average to killer past season 2 was Effie. Without Effie, the show is understandably lame.

Coz  said about 5 months ago:

Ha, maybe I'm a sucker for Shakespeare but tonight's episode was awesome!

HEB  said about 4 months ago:

Series 6 begins {on E4 in the UK} on Monday 23 January 2012
Jamie Brittain has now stepped down from the series but his (father and) co-creator Bryan Elsley has returned as showrunner

Re: 6-01
It's a bit of a worry when The Inbetweeners Movie does a better job of a mad summer break O/S
