Not exactly left-field choices . . . not BAD choices, mind you. Just not very imaginative. It could be from just about any 80s teen flick. Maybe that's the point.

Supposed to be mid-eighties, so what is Pictures Of You (1989) doing in there?

I expected this to be a thread about entrees.

Starter For 10, as you should know CB, is how rounds open on University Challenge
10 points for a starter question, then three themed bonus questions at 5 points each
Incorrect interruptions of starter questions score -5 points

This was a film adaptation by David Nicholls of his own novel that was on BBC2 last night, along with a documentary on University Challenge, and the Bambi episode of The Young Ones

James McEvoy was being Mr Tumnus, um, the lead, with Guy Henry as his tutor, Catherine Tate as his mum, Mark Gatiss as Bamber Gascoigne, and Alice (daughter of Trevor) Eve and Rebecca (daughter of Sir Peter) Hall as his love interests...

As much as I like James McEvoy, this movie was really rather dull.

The brunette love interest in this movie is also in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Rebecca Hall. Mmmmmm...

She's also in Frost/Nixon.

This movie was decent.
