Hey I noticed an ad for her new solo album.. Has anyone heard it? Any good?

Well I've finally listened to it properly and I really like it. I love the almost childish feel of the record, in places it reminds me at bit of Daisies of the Galaxy by Eels. Anyway, cool stuff.

moldy peaches was her and adam green - adam green's had a reasonable solo career since and i guess kimya has too, but the two of them together was brilliant. two really idiosyncratic personalities making music together, lofi indie pop, boy/girl vox, same kinda feel as kimya. since then adam's gotten a bit more refined, i guess, where as kimya's kept the total honesty and diy nature of her song writing. both are good, just kimya's more my kinda thing.

definitely check out MP though.

Yeah, I really like this record so by the sounds of it they'd be my kind of thing. Adam Green seems to have been torn apart by the critics, particularly that last album. I haven't heard much of his stuff but I really liked Emily - his voice reminds me of Evan Dando. Thanks very much for the info sceaux, I'll hunt some Moldy Peaches down soon.

getting into Kimya and Moldy Peaches now thanks to the Juno soundtrack. I like lo-fi sounding stuff so this really appeals to me. The Michael Cera and Ellen Page cover of ''Anyone Else But You'' is cute too.
